About

Hands-on SEO, not agency theatre

A small, technically-minded SEO consultancy working with businesses in Thane, Mumbai and across India. The work is done by the person you speak to, and the reasoning behind every decision is shown rather than summarised.

What we commit to

  • You own your accounts

Search Console and Analytics are verified under your account, with us added as a user. If we part ways, your entire search history stays with you.

  • Reporting shows failures too

A plan you cannot correct mid-flight is not worth much. Reporting covers what moved, what did not, and what we changed as a result.

  • No tactics that need reversing

No paid link schemes, no private blog networks, no mass-generated location pages. Nothing that produces a short-term gain and a long-term liability.

  • Direct access

You talk to the person doing the work. Questions get answered on WhatsApp or a call, not routed through an account manager.

The approach

How we work, honestly

What this is

SearchLift is a hands-on SEO consultancy. Not a large agency, not a reseller, and not a team of account managers relaying instructions to someone else. The person who audits your site is the person who writes the plan and answers your questions about it.

That structure has trade-offs and it is worth being direct about them. It means fewer clients at a time. It also means nothing gets lost in translation between the person who understood your business and the person doing the work.

Where the experience comes from

From building and growing real websites, and from working on live products where the results were measurable and the mistakes were expensive. Not from a course, and not from managing a queue of retainer clients where nobody looks closely at any one of them.

The Latecomers.in case study is the current published example — a site taken from effectively no search presence to 13,200+ Google Search impressions in roughly four months. Every figure in it comes from Search Console, and it is presented as the early-stage result it is rather than dressed up as something larger.

How the work is approached

SEO has an unusual amount of folklore attached to it. Much of what circulates as best practice stopped being true years ago, and some of it was never true. The approach here is to start from what can actually be observed: what Search Console reports, what the live results reward, and what your own conversion data shows.

  • Technical understanding first. Indexation, rendering and speed problems cap everything else. They get fixed before content effort is spent on pages that cannot rank.
  • Data over opinion. Search Console and live results decide the plan, not a template applied to every client.
  • Commercial intent over traffic volume. A page bringing forty visitors a month who need what you sell beats one bringing four thousand who do not.
  • Transparent work. You keep ownership of your Search Console and Analytics. Reporting includes what did not work.
  • Long-term growth. No bought links, no thin mass-produced pages, nothing that has to be reversed after the next core update.

On the promises we do not make

Nobody can guarantee a Google ranking. Anyone who does is either misinformed or counting on you not knowing the difference — rankings depend on competitor behaviour and algorithm changes that no provider controls.

What can be committed to is the work itself, the reasoning behind every decision, and honest reporting on what it produced. If something is not working, you will hear it from us before you notice it yourself.

Who this suits

Businesses that want to understand what is being done and why. If you want a monthly invoice and a report you never read, there are cheaper options. If you want to know which searches you are competing for, what is holding the site back and what the plan is for the next quarter, that is what this is built for.

It also suits businesses with a long enough horizon. SEO is a poor channel for results in six weeks and an excellent one for reducing acquisition cost in year two.

Process

The six steps every engagement follows

Same order every time, because the sequence is what makes it work — technical constraints before content, and evidence before expansion.
  1. 01

    Website audit

Understand the website, its technical problems and current search visibility.

Everything starts with what is actually there. A full crawl, reconciled against Search Console, tells us what Google has indexed, what it has rejected and why — and that determines what is even possible before anything is built.

    • Indexation and crawlability check
    • Technical health and Core Web Vitals
    • Existing rankings and query coverage
    • Content quality and cannibalisation review
  2. 02

    Competitor & keyword research

Discover what customers search and where competitors are winning.

Your SEO competitors are frequently not your business competitors. We identify who actually occupies your commercial searches, what pages they use, and which of their positions are genuinely contestable at your current authority.

    • Commercial and local keyword discovery
    • Search intent classification
    • Competitor page-level teardown
    • Keyword and content gap analysis
  3. 03

    SEO strategy

    Build a prioritised SEO roadmap.

A roadmap is an argument about sequence — what unlocks what. Each opportunity is scored on business value, difficulty and effort, then ordered so early work builds momentum rather than waiting on a distant payoff.

    • One primary intent mapped per URL
    • Quarter-by-quarter sequencing
    • Quick wins separated from long plays
    • Measurement plan agreed up front
  4. 04

    Technical & on-page optimisation

Fix technical issues and improve the pages that matter.

Constraints first, then relevance. Indexation, speed and rendering problems are resolved before content effort goes anywhere, because a page Google cannot crawl or index cannot rank however well it is written.

    • Crawl, index and redirect fixes
    • Core Web Vitals and mobile performance
    • Titles, structure and intent match
    • Internal linking into commercial pages
  5. 05

    Content & authority growth

Build useful search-focused content and topical authority.

Depth compounds and breadth scatters. Content is planned as clusters around topics that map to what you sell, with existing pages improved before new ones are added — usually the faster route to growth.

    • Topic clusters and pillar pages
    • Existing content updated and consolidated
    • Writer-ready briefs, not vague topics
    • Internal links that route authority to conversion pages
  6. 06

    Monitor & improve

Track Search Console, rankings, traffic and conversions continuously.

Reporting shows what worked and what did not. Impressions and query coverage move before clicks do, so those are watched first — and the plan is corrected on evidence rather than defended to the end of a contract.

    • Search Console query and page tracking
    • Call, WhatsApp and form conversion tracking
    • Monthly review of movement and direction
    • Roadmap adjusted on what the data shows

Why work with us

What makes this different

Most of these are things any SEO provider could do. Very few actually do them.
  • Data-driven, not opinion-driven

Decisions come from Search Console, live results and your own conversion data — not from a template applied to every client.

  • No fake ranking guarantees

Nobody can guarantee a Google position. What is committed to is the work, the reasoning behind it and honest reporting on what it produces.

  • Transparent reporting

You keep ownership of your Search Console and Analytics. Reporting shows impressions, query coverage and position — including the parts that did not work.

  • Technical and content together

Most SEO fails at the seam between the two. Indexation and speed problems are fixed before content effort is spent on pages that cannot rank.

  • Qualified traffic over vanity traffic

Keyword targets are chosen on buying intent and business value, not on the biggest number in a keyword tool.

  • Genuine local SEO expertise

Thane, Mumbai and the wider MMR are the home market. Locality-level targeting, map pack work and local competitive knowledge, not a generic city page.

  • Business-focused strategy

Priorities start from what you sell and what a lead is worth, so SEO effort lands on the pages that actually carry revenue.

  • Built for long-term organic growth

No bought links, no thin mass-produced pages, no tactics that need to be reversed after the next core update.
